Barriers to work are coming down in Arizona thanks to a new law pushed by the Goldwater Institute that cuts through the bureaucracies and red tape that previously blocked new arrivals from working in their chosen professions. Breakingdown the barriers to educationfor girls requires a comprehensive approach, incorporating early investments in learning, safe and inclusive environments, mentorship, vocational training, and robust policy frameworks. A Mayoral Reception will be held this summer for Galway’s Owen Ward, for his work breakingdownbarriers to higher educationfor Irish Travellers and other disadvantaged groups. Other projects have included the Beat the Odds event, which celebrated breakingdownbarriers and unique routes to success, and Fast Forward, which is a free short course helping people return to education. The American Dream promises equality and freedom for all, but for many immigrants, this dream is still hard to achieve. Despite their hard work, they face a harsh reality of discrimination, unequal rights, and limited opportunities.
